Blurb: Set in the Depression-era South, Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird is a coming-of-age story narrated by young Scout Finch. As her lawyer father, Atticus, defends a Black man falsely accused of rape, Scout and her brother, Jem, confront the harsh realities of racism and injustice in their small Alabama town.

Final Thoughts: I did not at all enjoy reading this book. It was full of profanity and the plot wasn't interesing to me, as the racial aspect of it did not truly come into play until the last half of the book. If it had been free of profanity, I still would not have enjoyed it, due to the extremely slow pace of the plot, but that only added to it.
The only positive that I can say about this book is that the racial justice theme was good, and I was very sad for the black man who was falsely accused.
