Rating: 10/10 Awesome true insights into the spiritual realm, flawed and struggling characters that are relatable, great plot, and tackles great, tough themes that shines a light in the darkness of our world.

Content: 7/10 drinking, drugs, sexual temptation, demonic forces, death, witchcraft, abortion, eating disorder (all shown in a bad light and conquered with biblical truth).

Romance: 4/10 Jillian and Rob are dating, with light touching (holding hands), one sexual temptation scene with a few kisses and hugs (it would be on the very edge of being a sex scene, but it is very short and nothing really happens. Also, they combat what they did with biblical truth about purity); Brittany and Ian are told to be sleeping together.

Characters: Jillian Fletcher, Rob Gonzales, Ian Stuart, Brittany Powell, Lord Foulgrin, and Prince Ishbane

Summary: Brittany is a tough girl who trusts almost no one. lan is a successful athlete who dabbles in the occult. Jillian is a cheerleader who feels her life is out of control. Rob is a former gang-banger who struggles with guilt, pain, and a newfound faith in God. These four college students will face the ultimate battle between good and evil...will they make it through?

Final Thoughts: Although this book does tackle extremely controversial topics, it is a personal favorite of mine. Alcorn tackles topics that teens face often with biblical truth--a rare thing in today's culture. I would recommend this for any mature teenager or adult! Amazing plot, characters, and themes. Its a book that I've reread again and again!!
